Safeguarding
Sedgley Park Community Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children. We expect all staff, volunteers, students and parents to share this commitment with us. We have a number of different policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Safeguarding Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy and Educational Visits Policy.
We aim for our children to -
be healthy
be safe
make a positive contribution
enjoy and achieve
achieve economic well-being
We will work to achieve or aims in partnership with parents, outside agencies and our supportive community.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead at Sedgley Park Primary School is Mrs Toal. Our Deputy Safeguarding Leads are Mrs Forrester and Miss Green.
If you have any safeguarding or child protection concerns please arrange to see one of them.
Operation Encompass
Our school is part of a project, which is run between Bury Local Authority and Greater Manchester Police.
The project called Operation Encompass, has been designed to provide early reporting of any domestic abuse incidents that occur outside school, which might have an impact on a child in school. More information can be found by clicking on the Operation Encompass Link.
