Autumn Term 2016
The whole school enjoyed Spanish Day on 23rd September. We took part in a flamenco dancing lesson, cooked traditional Spanish food and improved our Spanish vocabulary.
Our School Council had a shopping trip to buy equipment that could be used outside at playtime. We also bought some soft furnishings for the seated areas.
We all dressed up as medics for the day as we raised money for MediEquip4Kids. This was our chosen charity for Harvest.
Y3, Y3/4 and Y4 went to Chester to introduce their topic on The Romans. They found out all about how the Romans lived and even took part in a battle with a Roman Gladiator!
Key Stage 1 pupils put on a fantastic performance to show us all what they had learnt about 'The Great Fire of London.'
Year 2 performed a brilliant assembly all about Mary Anning and how she hunted for fossils. They learnt all about her life through their dinasour topic.
Y5 and Y6 put on a fabulous performance for us all. The acting and singing skills were absolutely amazing. Well done to all the performers in Mystery at Magpie Manor - December 2016.
Our School Council members visited Mayor of Bury Mike Conolly at Bury Tonw Hall. They got the opportunity to view the council rooms and the Mayor's parlour.
